Kiyohiko Sakata (坂田聖彦) is an ex-Capcom programmer and director. After the disbandment of Capcom's Clover Studio he moved to Seeds Inc., which would later become Platinum Games Inc. . He is currently represented by REDWORKS Inc. (株式会社レッドワークス).[1]
Career [ ]
Sakata worked on the original Resident Evil as an "event programmer".[2] After that, he worked as a scenario programmer on Resident Evil 2 (1998 game) .[3] For Resident Evil 3: Nemesis he was the chief programmer,[4] a role he also took for Resident Evil 4 .[5] Aside from Resident Evil games, he has worked as a programmer on games such as Devil May Cry , God Hand , Vanquish , The Wonderful 101 and Anarchy Reigns .[6]
In February 2020 it was unveiled that he is the director of the Resident Evil 3 remake , marking his directorial debut.[7] [8]
