The Licker was a mutated T-Virus infectee encountered by Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Redfield at the Raccoon City Orphanage during the 1998 Raccoon City Destruction Incident.
History[]
The Licker was initially encountered in the abandoned hallways of the Orphanage. It's not known if it was the only specimen of its kind or if there were potentially more lickers lurking around the orphanage or underground NEST facility. It's also unknown if this individual licker was an engineered bioweapon that managed to escape it's containment in the harvesting facility, or simply a long-time infectee of the T-Virus: thus being a potential evolution for all zombies over a given timespan.
Leon took notice of it moving in the darkness behind the ceiling lights but was then distracted by appearance of Lisa Trevor who shushed him in warning. The licker then swiftly and stealthily ensnared police chief Brian Irons with its tongue, gruesomely mutilating and killing Irons with its claws and before attacking Leon and Claire. The creature was incredibly fast and agile and managed to trip Leon with its whip-like tongue, as well as being resilient to the bullets fired from Claire's handgun. The creature was then attacked from behind by Lisa Trevor, with the two engaging in a brutal combat, the licker was a very competent enemy but Lisa managed to gain the upper hand by using her shackles and superhuman strength to detain the creature, dislocating it's jaw from its skull and shattering it's cervical vertebrae, killing it.
