(Capcom's primary storyline)
The Living Dolls (tentative name) are a group of minor enemies from Resident Evil Village. They are the minions of Donna Beneviento who are brought to life by Cadou.
Biology[]
The Living Dolls, for the most part, appear to be normal dolls. They wear black and white clothing and appear to be based on young children. When in their "attack mode", the dolls will sprout metallic spider claws and their eyes will be surrounded by a dark color. Some dolls appear to flicker (or glitch) during the fight with Angie. These dolls also have the ability to float.
Angie is Donna's number one doll, who is with her at all times. During the final battle between Donna and Ethan Winters, Angie refers to the other dolls as her "friends". Angie, in many ways, is far more advanced then the other dolls, being capable of holding conversations and seemingly to move at her own free will. Unlike Angie, these dolls don't talk, instead they let out giggles when Ethan comes near them.
These dolls share many traits with spiders. This may be in reference to a weaver that was described at the beginning of the game, who also had a spider-like aesthetic. This weaver is most likely Donna's distant ancestor.
Gameplay[]
Excluding Angie, the Living Dolls make their first appearance shortly after Ethan's fight/escape with the Baby. After entering a room filled with Dolls, Donna will appear and tell Ethan that he can't leave. Angie will then take over the narrative as a group of dolls close to Ethan begin to attack him. He will be able to knock these off of him without any physical consequence.
For the rest of the fight, these dolls will be able to be seen throughout House Beneviento. If Ethan takes too long to find Angie, one of the dolls will attack him with their metal claws, causing him to take serious damage. These dolls will lose their ability to attack and become lifeless once both Angie and Donna are defeated.
