Lott Klein was a 12 year old boy who was brainwashed into believing in Umbrella's principles. He was one of the three survivors of the Sheena Island Outbreak, along with his sister Lily Klein and Detective Ark Thompson.
Background
Lott was born to two Umbrella researches in the mid 1980's and was raised to take his presence within Umbrella's family with great pride, seeing 'outsiders' to be of lower status than him. Despite this mental upbringing, Lott continued to be a caring individual, finding the conditioning process used to make the 'outsiders' into decent people a positive thing, unknowing the truth behind it. When it was discovered that Commander Vincent Goldman had killed a group of kids who had escaped, he begins to question their logic and Umbrella's policies.
Soon afterwards, Lott met Ark Thompson, who introduces himself as Vincent Goldman. Having met Vincent in person, Lott reported to the real Vincent about the impostor.
The Second Raccoon City, Sheena Island
During late November, Sheena Island felt the sting of the t-Virus much as Raccoon City had experienced months before. The city goes into a frenzy of panic with many once kind scientists transforming into mindless zombies, much to the confusion of the young Lott. However, tragedy hits him close to home when his mother and father come under the effects of the virus, causing the two children to flee and fend for themselves.
Lott arms himself with an aluminum baseball bat, and after finding a safe place for Lily to hide, goes in search for a way to escape. While examining the sewer, he comes into contact with the amnesiac Ark Thompson, whom he had reported to Vincent Goldman about, fearing that Ark may have a vendetta with him, Lott becomes defensive, threatening Ark before escaping.
Soon afterwards, after not finding any sort of escape within the sewers, Lott returns to his sister, whom he finds confronted by Ark. Lott swiftly attacks him, still not realizing the man is suffering from amnesia, and escapes with his sister to their home. After securing her within their room, he continues on to a facility close to their home, coming into contact with a Hunter, though Lott tries to fight it with his bat, he's overwhelmed and shoved over a side railing, barely managing to grab on to the side. Ark manages to save him in the nick of time, and questions Lott's motives. Lott, shocked that Ark has amnesia, confesses to his accusation and apologizes. With Ark's forgiveness, he goes back to his house to fetch Lily, and the three of them make it to a train leading toward an emergency helicopter. However, celebration is short lived when a Tyrant attacks them. Ark orders them to escape while he handles the Tyrant, successfully bringing it down. Though they manage to escape, the Tyrant grabs onto the leg of the helicopter, which Ark quickly dispatches with a rocket. With the three finally free, they decide to fly to safety.
