M1851 Wolfsbane is a weapon in Resident Evil Village.
Location[]
After killing Salvatore Moreau, use the Crank when leaving the Reservoir to enter the area near Moreau's Lab. The weapon is hidden away at the last house with a locked door, the way to enter is via a hole at the back. This weapon is marked as "Moreau's Hidden Weapon" on the map.
Gameplay[]
The M1851 Wolfsbane is a magnum, the weapon can be upgraded with the Long Barrel and Increased Capacity Cylinder custom parts. The magnum takes up eight inventory spaces.
Players can also use The Duke to upgrade the weapon's firepower, among other things.
Once the two parts have been combined to the weapon and it has been fully upgraded via The Duke, its infinite ammo will be available at the Extra Content Shop for the price of 95,000 CP. In addition, its inventory description specifically states that it's effective against werewolves. What this amounts to is a damage buff against Lycan-themed enemies (which includes the boss and mini-boss variants). Against these enemies, it is by far the most powerful weapon available in terms of single shot damage. Against other enemies, it still manges to rival the S.T.A.K.E.
Fully upgrading this weapon will cost 873.000 Lei.
The M1851 Wolfsbane also appears in the hard stages of The Mercenaries. It can only be acquired by purchasing it from The Duke and will cost 20,000 Lei. Unlike the main game, Wolfsbane will increase Ammo Capacity as well as replenish ammunition when clearing each stage area but the player cannot buy any magnum ammo from Duke or reload that weapon.
