Maggie Robertson is a singer, actress and voice actress who played the role of "Alcina Dimitrescu" and one of Donna Beneviento's dolls in Resident Evil Village.[1]
Career[]
Robertson's earlier career was in singing and theatre, gaining degrees from both Pennsylvania's Muhlenberg College and the London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art in the United Kingdom. Robertson became involved in voice acting after moving to Los Angeles. Having been new to the profession, Robertson auditioned for a role in Resident Evil Village both unfamiliar with the franchise and not expecting to get the part. Both her voice and motion capture performance drew from Shakespearian theatre, known for its larger-than-life acting philosophy. Robertson's imagination of Alcina Dimitrescu was that of a powerful woman hiding carefully herself behind an elegant exterior, focusing her energy on giving the character a fluid and less rigid motion. In terms of voice, Robertson settled on a Mid-Atlantic accent, a formal accent used by the American upper-classes and actors in the early 20th century.[2]
