The Makai (魔界) is one of several dimensions, inhabited by demonic creatures. Its dimensional walls directly borders that of the Material World's and, as a result, demonic activity occasionally passes through into that world.[1]

- The Makai is first introduced in Namco × Capcom, and is shown to be the native world for the cast of Darkstalkers, Ghosts 'n Goblins and Shadow Land.
