Markian Kowalsky was an Umbrella employee who worked as an orderly at the Raccoon City Orphanage. Among his duties were to restrain children being taken away for experimentation. One night, Nurse and a second orderly attempted to take Claire Redfield away, but she was able to escape.[1]
