The Megalodon is the name of a Bio Organic Weapon, first introduced in 2015.
History[]
The Megalodon was a shark of unknown species that bore a strain of the T-Virus developed by Dylan Blake. This infection made it caused it to have a fleshy outer appearance and grow into a humongous size compared to modern toothed sharks, easily outsizing a small boat. It actively prowled the waters surrounding Alcatraz Island, where Dylan had established his base of operations. During this time, it killed an orca whose corpse would later be beached in the shores of San Francisco. TerraSave member Claire Redfield would later investigate the corpse and share her findings with BSAA members Chris Redfield, Jill Valentine, and Rebecca Chambers, leading them to investigate the island of Alcatraz.
Alcatraz Island Outbreak (2015)
During the outbreak in Alcatraz, Megalodon maintained it's function of patrolling the surrounding island and fiercely attacked anything in it's way, even the amphibian lickers that were under its master's control. It would later attack the boat carrying a SWAT team that were escorting Rebecca Chambers and the T-Virus strain vaccine into the island. Megalodon encountered resistance but managed to wipe out the SWAT team, though it failed to prevent Rebecca and the vaccine from entering the island.
After Dylan activated his mosquito bio-drones, Megalodon entered his secret compound when he opened the watergate to let it in. Dylan then injected himself with a strain of the T-Virus and jumped into the waters where Megalodon consumed him. The resulting mutation fused the two into a giant creature that had Megalodon's lower half but a highly mutated upper half. This mutated monster would go on to fight Chris, Jill, and Leon Kennedy while Claire and Rebecca worked to stop the drones. After sustaining heavy damage and loss of it's lower half due to a shot from a plasma rifle and having it's body chemistry tampered by the reprogrammed drones, the creature would attempt to make an escape to open water before being stopped and killed by the collective efforts of the five operatives.
