  • Well now, I've decided to throw in a ban. Expect this to be quite long.

I've banned you for quite a few reasons, Weedle.

First of all, I'm tired of your high and mighty attitude when it comes to article comments, nearly all of the time I've seen you make a comment it comes off as someone else having to do it when you're more than welcome and capable to do so, I've told you more than once to knock that shit off and actually make it seem like you're not coming off as a demanding douche, seems like that's not really settled in.

Your edits are pretty bad, most of them are completely speculative, don't have a place or just are completely irrelevant, your most recent one which is more or less the last straw I had before banning you, you are literally taking a quote at face value, it's the same meaning as "Welcome to the club". There is no club to be part of, it's not a literal statement.

You could've easily contacted me and asked instead of being a baby and reverting it again, which you've done a few times like that one time with the Stairway to Heaven article and how I mentioned it was more or less outrageous speculation which you reverted with probably the worst reason, if something really upsets you contact me and I'd have been more than happy to explain why I did it, but nope.

Your impatience when it comes to content being added to a page, let's look at the Resident Evil 0 HD remake cutscenes for one, only ONE user at the time was working on them and you decided to just out of the blue come off and ask when he's going to upload the rest, almost like the guy's entire life is hellbent on this wiki, which it most certainly is not.

I'd have given maybe at month at best, but given how I've had to put up with this for a long time, I'm settling with three months. I suggest you take this time to really evaluate the reason why I banned you, I really do.

  • I checked the Mercenary's Diary file from Resident Evil 3: Nemesis. The Merc had been in training in the UBCS for six months by the beginning of September; Billy only escaped custody five weeks prior. They're not the same person.

  • For lore type pages and sections (history and biography sections), its probably not best to directly reference the localized scripts as you did in this edit; http://residentevil.wikia.com/Villagers/history?diff=prev&oldid=427484 Actions can be reference because we know they would be consistent, but dialogue and text is open to change.

    • Okay. Though we're really going to need to translate the Japanese text accurately eventually, since as is, we really don't know what the Japanese text is saying (and trying to use something like Bing translator won't cut it because it will just come out as gobbledegook. Take the Japanese line of the interaction with the impaled female villager for example: It basically said, according to Bing translator, "Or girl without mercy. Quickly find the Ashley!". Capcom's translations may not be accurate, but the problem is Bing's translations are even worse.). I don't even know if Project Umbrella translates examine texts, so I can't rely on them.

    • I've translated some examine texts but due to the sheer amount and the time involved in transcribing them, they're not a priority.

Okay. Can you at least translate the one where that village girl is discovered to have been introduced face first to a pitchfork in the shack, though?

  • Do you have a source saying Resident Evil was intended to be a remake of Sweet Home? It would make the articles much better, otherwise I'll add the source needed notes to them. Thanks for the tip.

    • It's a traditional American style: Movies are for adults; toys are for kids. That's why Robocop was for adults only, but action figures OF RoboCop could be shown on kids' TV.

    • ParallelTraveler, i suppose, here is the origin of such information https://www.glitterberri.com/developer-interviews/tokuro-fujiwara/ Sorry if that's already a common knowledge.

  • When editing, its much better to know first hand by playing/watching the media rather than copying it from another source that doesn't prioritize important information. In this case, trying to edit Ada's wardrobe based off TV Tropes.

If you want to make helpful or accurate edits, actually check the primary sources first by playing or watching them (you could have easily checked youtube to get a better understanding of the cutscene). Otherwise you're leaving a lot of room to be wrong or be adding unnecessary information which needs to be corrected or fixed by other users.
