Monster Shooter is a fictional video game in the Resident Evil universe. Developed by Kidsoft, advertisements for the product could be found in the window of Toy Uncle in Raccoon City by autumn of 1998.[1]
Further Notes[]

- Whilst the game is an obvious reference to Capcom's Monster Hunter series, the Monster Shooter logo also serves as a clear homage to the Jurassic Park franchise, which shares many similarities with the Resident Evil franchise, alongside serving as inspiration for both Monster Hunter and Capcom's other survival horror franchise, Dino Crisis.
- The monster featured in the logo loosely resembles a Zinogre from Monster Hunter World.
- The skyline at the bottom of the game's logo showcases a silhouette of New York City's lower skyline as seen from the East River, notable due to the presence of the World Trade Center, keeping with the 1998 setting.
- The advertisement also showcases a home console that shares design elements with both the PlayStation and Nintendo Entertainment System, with other games advertised for the system including Mega Man and another title that closely resembles the Ghosts 'n Goblins series.
