Prime universe
(Capcom's primary storyline)

NEST-2‏‎ was an Umbrella secret facility located underneath the Raccoon City via Spencer Memorial Hospital. Unlike the main facility NEST located at the Raccoon City sewers which primarily focuses on the G-Virus research, the NEST-2 mainly focuses on T-Virus research, creation of B.O.W.s, and T-Virus vaccine research. NEST-2 was also the site of illegal bioweapons testing, with human captives forced to fight for their lives in simulated hypothetical extreme survival situations to research not only BOW combat efficiency but the virulence and effectiveness of various strains of the T-Virus.[1]
