Necklace (首飾り kubikazari) is a key item in the Maiden Demo of Resident Evil Village.[1]
Purpose[]
The necklace has no understood purpose within the Resident Evil Village Maiden demo, but rather a suspected visual showcase for the high graphics to be seen in the full release of Resident Evil Village.
Note: The showcase of an 'useless' item in a Resident Evil demo is not foreign idea. The first release of the Resident Evil 7: Biohazard demo showcased a severed finger with no intentional use. As the demo reached its final update, if was found that following a very specific set of steps the severed finger became a key item in unlocking an attic door and, ultimately a ‘dirty coin’ that carried over into the full release of Resident Evil 7: Biohazard.
This necklace may only serve as a visual component to the demo currently but we may see a change in its purpose with more in-depth analysis of the demo and future gameplay.
