"Not Steve"[note 1] is a cutscene in Resident Evil CODE:Veronica. It plays in the final stage of the game, in the Antarctic Base's bastille.
Plot[]
Claire finally finds Steve, locked and sitting in a chair like Nosferatu was. They started talking about what Alexia did to him until Steve suddenly started hurting and mutating due to his infection. Claire still in disbelief of what's happening to him, he stood up armed with his giant axe, the gate started closing and Claire forced to run away.
Transcript[]
Claire: "Steve!?"
Steve: "Ohh... Claire..."
Claire: "No! I can't do it! Who did this to you!?"
Steve: "That crazy women told me... she wa gonna perform... the same experiment... on me... that she did on her own father. She's completely insane."
Claire: "What's wrong?"
Steve: "Claire...can't...breath... Claire...help me..."
"ClaaaAAIRRRE!"
Claire: "Steeeeeeve!"
"No, wait!"
