Oskar was a resident of an isolated mountain community in Eastern Europe. He served as a stable boy for the village horses. At some point, he fell down one of the wells while drunk at 20 years old. He was later captured by Lord Karl Heisenberg and brought to his factory to be experimented on. Oskar was Heisenberg's 18th subject, and unlike the previous 17, Heisenberg was successful in removing Oskar's vital organs, implanting him with the Cadou, and transforming the young man into a fully functioning Soldat.
