Out in the Open is the optional scene in Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, which plays if Jack finds Ethan who tries to escape through the hatch.
Plot[]
After Ethan Winters obtains the Hatch Key, he proceeds to go the locked hatch where he tries to open the door but gets caught by Jack Baker who proceeds to amputate Ethan's leg with an shovel. Jack then taunts Ethan and proceeds to put the First Aid Med far from his reach. Ethan crawls towards the med and proceeds to put his severed leg back to his body using the med. Ethan is surprised at its effectiveness with Jack starting to go berserk once more.
