(Operation Raccoon City's backstory)
The P-12A Waste Disposal Facility, internally known as the "Dead Factory", was a privately-owned waste processing facility in Raccoon City. It was located in an industrial zone close to Raccoon Cemetery, and was adjacent to a B.O.W. programming facility hidden under a warehouse.[1][2]
History[]
The P-12A facility was built within Raccoon City to handle the destruction of biohazardous materials which resulted from Umbrella's viral weapons research. For safety and security reasons it and the neighbouring programming lab were powered by local generators. Owing to their proximity the two facilities may have worked in tandem, with P-12A handling the disposal of failed test subjects.
During the Raccoon City incident the industrial zone saw considerable fighting between the Umbrella Security Service operators and US Army special operations teams. The P-12A facility was identified as a USS forward operating base, and its neutralisation became crucial to the Army counteroperation. Anticipating this, USS operator Christine Yamata had several T-103 Tyrants sent to the facility to deal with intruders should the garrison be defeated. Facing defeat, the Spec Ops Command deployed a railgun to be used against them.[1]
