Complete Mutation is the twenty-eighth chapter in the Resident Evil: The Marhawa Desire manga series. It was first published in Weekly Shōnen Champion Extra's 2013 series, but was later on re-published in the fourth tankōbon volume on May 8.
Plot
Merah examines the Crysalid containing Bindi Bergara. Believing it to be safe, she prepares to leave so Chris can look at it later. The Crysalid soon begins to open up, and Merah breaks out as a large spider-like creature. Disarming Merah, Bindi throws the BSAA agent into a wall without the risk of injury. While coughing up blood, Merah refuses to give up the fight.
Meanwhile, Chris and Ricky run up a flight of stairs to the rooftop; from there they will be able to see how significant the outbreak is, which will also help them find where Merah and Bindi went.
In a flashback to three years prior, Merah is a researcher studying new means to eradicate B.O.W.s in a lab; the other technicians discuss the rumour she lost her family in Raccoon City. Upon completing her research, she requests a transfer to the Far East Branch's Special Operations Unit, an act which interests Professor Wright. In only a year, she builds herself up as the branch's best SOU, intriguing Chris Redfield and Piers Nivens.
