Ace of the Far East is the twenty-ninth chapter in the Resident Evil: The Marhawa Desire manga series. It was first published in Weekly Shōnen Champion Extra's 2013 series, but was later on re-published in the fourth tankōbon volume on May 8.

Plot

Continuing from the flashback, Merah and Piers spar to demonstrate her abilities to Chris. Though he easily takes her to the ground, he and Chris congratulate her being the only cadet to have a real match with Piers. Merah concedes but vows to one day beat the two of them. Merah remembers the events of the 1998 Raccoon City Destruction Incident, begging her parents to take her to Raccoon City to their work.

Back in the present Merah is still fighting Bindi. Though tired, she refuses to give up and charges at her with a knife. It does little, but Piers aides by driving the BSAA car through the hall entrance and into Bindi. Bindi gets in the way of his view, and he drives straight into the wall. He gets out of the car fine, however, and finds the handgun Merah dropped.

Meanwhile, Chris is moving up a flight of stairs with Ricky Tozawa when he gets a call from Piers. The BSAA will send in reinforcements, but they will take another day to arrive. Chris orders the team to pull out as they are unable to handle the situation alone. Piers is forced to tell him the car is a wreck and they can't go anywhere.
