When his close friend and partner Jill Valentine made claims of monsters appearing in the forest, he was one of the only ones to support her theory. During the outbreak in Raccoon City, he and Jill Valentine met up during the infection, and held off the infestation at Raven's Gate Bridge, along with S.T.A.R.S.; Raccoon City Police Department and Umbrella Security Division members. He was bitten by a zombie during these events.[1]
