The President of the United States is an executive office within the US federal government responsible as the Commander-in-Chief of the US military. There have been at least four separate US Presidents during the course of the mainstream series.

1998 president

This president was, according to the opening prologue of Resident Evil 4, responsible for the initial decision-making behind the Sterilization Operation (CODE: XX); this was implemented after the approval of a special congressional committee including Senator Ron Davis. Amid a hail of media-attention behind the controversial decision of nuking a city - with some people denouncing the existence of B.O.W.s and others believing the US to be somehow involved with bio-weapons development - he was forced to resign from office.

2002 president

This president had DSO agent Leon Scott Kennedy sent into the Amazon rainforest in search of Javier Hidalgo, after it was discovered that he had acquired samples of the t-Virus from a rogue Umbrella businessman. As per an executive order, all reports of the virus were to be investigated and, if its existence is confirmed, its destruction is of the upmost priority in preventing another biological outbreak.

Graham - 2004-2005

President Graham was new to office in 2004, and Leon had been freshly-assigned to guarding his family. As he was new, it was presumably also Graham who sent in marines to kill the t-Virus infectees in Harvardville International Airport.[1]

Benford - 2013

At a conference in Ivy University, Tall Oaks, the t-Virus was released and Adam Benford was transformed into a zombie. He was killed by Leon Kennedy when he pounced at Helena Harper.
