Possibly created with a pre-Epsilon strain of t-Virus, the T-001 is noticably more deformed than later Tyrants. A noticable characteristic is the T-001's exposed spinal column, brought on by the exfoliation of cell tissue immediately behind it. This exposure left the creature extremely vulnerable to small arms fire.[1][excerpt 1]
The T-001's nervous system also suffered damage during the individual's mutation, resulting in a generally poorer coordination compared with the T-002 and random twitching. In spite of these anomalies, the T-001 still displayed superhuman strength, and the Tyrant Project continued to pursue improvements.
