The 4-Legged Molded is another variant of Molded that appears in Resident Evil 7: Biohazard.
Biology
This variant of the creature bears the same biologically mutated body composition as the more common humanoid Molded, with the exception of its ability to move on all four limbs which are distinguishably longer and slimmer. This makes the creature exceptionally nimble and more dangerous.
Unlike the normal Molded, it lacks endurance and it can be killed more easily. This however does not mean it's any less of a threat as it can cover distances with its excellent agility, leaping at its victims and moving about in an unnatural manner. Fortunately, it is unable to use its gaping maw as means of offense.
Gameplay
The 4 Legged Molded doesn't appear until after the player defeats Marguerite. Upon returning to the mansion and on the way to the dissection room, one bursts in and attacks the player.
- Swipe - When the creature is close to the player, it will swipe its claws at them, dealing moderate damage.
- Leap - At a distance, the creature will leap at the player, dealing moderate damage. The manner of which this is executed is similar to that of the Licker in previous games in that it will assume a position to ready itself for a leap, albeit at a much faster pace leaving only a small window of reaction time for players to guard against it.
