Raccoon City Hospital was a hospital in the American midwestern community of Raccoon City.
History[]
The hospital was largely under quarantine during the viral outbreak, with the hospital staff sealing away zombies they found on the street. The reason for this was their hopes of developing a t-Virus vaccine that would reverse the zombification process. Unfortunately, the Umbrella Corporation refused to help them in their research. With no cure available, the patients were ordered to be quarantined on lock wards for the meantime.[1]
Soon after Dr. Linda Pearl left to a patient's house, the zombified patients finally broke out of the quarantined area and cleared through the undefended hospital.[2] Four nurses escaped the initial assault, but were surrounded and killed soon after Dr. Pearl's return.[3]
