(Operation Raccoon City's backstory)

The hospital's main entrance.
Raccoon General Hospital,[note 1] otherwise known as Raccoon Hospital was the primary healthcare building in Raccoon City.
History[]
"Due to the nature of Operation Raccoon City, the universe is divided into separate timelines following the exploits of USS Delta Team or Echo Six." |
Raccoon General was hit hard by the Raccoon City incident, with its doctors being in preparation for a retirement party as the infection spread.
Fearing rogue informants, traitors or witnesses could expose Umbrella's crimes, the Umbrella Security Service was ordered to take the city's power plant out of action. To accomplish this a UH-60 Blackhawk was dispatched to Raccoon General carrying several EMP devices. Due to his special position in Umbrella's hierarchy, UBCS mercenary Nicholai Ginovaef was informed of the mission and made plans to prevent its success. Ahead of Delta Team's arrival, Ginovaef planted a series of charges to level the hospital, along with planting explosives on Zombies to be unleashed as suicide bombers. As Delta Team arrived at the hospital, Ginovaef made his way to the rooftop and killed the Blackhawk pilot, leading to it crashing in the streets below. As the explosive charges were detonated, Delta Team narrowly escaped the burning building through a loading dock in the morgue.[1]
During the US Army counteroperation in Raccoon City, Echo Six received orders to neutralise USS forces at the P-12A Waste Disposal Facility, and made their way past the burning hospital.[2]
