Raccoon Police Station (ラクーン市警察署 rakūn shikei sassho?) is a building located in the center of Raccoon City, it served as the headquarters for its law enforcement body, the Raccoon Police Department.[1][2]

History[]

In 1969 the local art museum was refurbished into the headquarters of the recently founded Raccoon Police Department, features like the Clock Tower and the Goddess Statue are preserved to remind citizens of a by gone era.[3][4]

In October 1997 the RPD launches a recruitment campaign for new officers, S.T.A.R.S. included.

In 1998 Chief of Police Brian Irons acquires a red stone at a local auction and places it in a statue of Charles The Great that holds a scepter.[5][6]

In August the S.T.A.R.S. are suspended due to the ramifications of the Mansion Incident earlier that year. Some of their resources are re-allocated and their duties are transferred to the Raccoon SWAT.

In late September the station is overrun with zombies and is later partially destroyed by a missile strike, an event known as the Raccoon City Incident.

Further notes[]

  • The Raccoon Police Station can be seen both shortly before the Raccoon City Destruction Incident and after its partial and complete destruction in the 3rd and 9th games of the series. As you might expect, the first return to Raccoon City since the release of the remake of Resident Evil 3 largely follows its depiction in the remake trilogy.
