The Raccoon Sharks was Raccoon City's local American football team. A riot occurred on the night of September 24th, during one of their games. The riot was due to the t-viral outbreak, and a single zombie rampaged across the stadium, turning it into a bloodbath ending with several people being sent to the Raccoon General Hospital in critical conditions and fifty police officers being called in.

In the English version of the "Outbreak" opening, the name of their competing team is given as the "Old Court Thunders", though this is not present in the original script.
