Raid Mode, is an action-oriented minigame featured in Resident Evil: Revelations. One or two players may fight their way through a selection of maps taken from the single player campaign that have been updated with new enemy layouts.
At the end of each round, players will be awarded BP based on their performance. BP can be spent in the shop to purchase more powerful weapons or upgrades. Each weapon has a certain number of upgrade slots available for the player to use as they wish. Upgrades may also be awarded to a player at the end of a round and certain weapons/upgrades will be available for purchase using 3DS playcoins.
There are three difficulty levels, each with 20 levels and one bonus level. The difficulty levels are named:
- Chasm (Which is unlocked by default)
- Trench
- Abyss
The 21st level is the ghost ship, which deceives players by showing them the gold medal to finish the stage right away. The trick in this level though is to fight your way through the entire ship. Ammo pick-ups rarely occur in this stage.
Playable Characters
Raid Mode features many characters which are unavailable in the single player portion of Revelations. Each character has two abilities. Using any character will gradually increase the level of all playable characters, although different characters will level at different rates.

Enemies
Enemies will be taken from the main campaign but have been noted to be a somewhat different experience in raid mode. Specifically, some enemies may appear with icons next to their health bars that represent increased abilities - for example, a shield means an opponent with higher than normal defense; a fist, however, indicates an enemy who possesses more powerful attacks. These boosts are also represented visually on the monster's model, i.e. an enemy with increased speed will be significanlty smaller whereas an opponent with boosted defense may be literally twice his normal size.
Some enemies encountered in Raid Mode include Ooze, Hunter, their Farfarello variants and Fenrir, a type of mutated canine resembling the Colmillos from Resident Evil 4. Special boss fights may occur too, most notably the one at stage 20, which contains Jack Norman in his mutated form.
Weapons
The Raid Mode of Revelations also has a lot of weapons that can be unlocked, upgraded and bought. Most notably are the new Legendary Weapons, which are unlocked randomly. They are:
- Muramusa - A large rifle with a black and gold decoration covering it in it's entirity.
- Pale Rider - A magnum gun with a huge barrel.
- High Roller - A golden A.K. 47.
- Drake - A double-barrel shotgun which is covered in scales. When aiming with it, the player might notice it looks somewhat like a dragon.
All the weapons in the Raid Mode can be found multiple times as difficulty and the stages increase. They also level, meaning you can find a Muramusa rifle with level 4;
- Firepower: 2755
- Auto Fire: 0.75
- Capacity: 4
- Upgrade Slots: 5
And the same rifle, with level 13;
- Firepower: 6660
- Auto Fire: 0.97
- Capacity: 7
- Upgrade Slots: 6
