Randy Thomas was a member of Squad A, Delta Platoon in the Umbrella Biohazard Countermeasure Service. He was killed during the drop in at Raccoon City in September, 1998. He is with Carlos Oliveira for a good section of the book. He gets bit by a zombie, forcing Carlos to carry him a ways. Right after Carlos gets done sending the transmission, which is answered by Jill Valentine, the bite forces Randy to turn into an infected. Carlos kills him.[1]
