The Republic of Bajirib is a military dictatorship located somewhere in Central Asia. In 2005 its head-of-state was General Miguel Grandé.
Following the Terragrigia Panic, Bajirib made plans to invest in bio-weaponry, triggering heavy economic sanctions. The Bajirib military was able to get into talks with the WilPharma senior researcher, Dr. Frederic Downing, in search of t-Virus samples. This deal ultimately failed, when the middleman was arrested by the American security services, and Dr. Downing himself was soon identified as the supplier. Without access to the t-Virus or the G-Virus he also showed interest in, General Grandé abandoned the programme and, seeking an end to sanctions, attended a Central Asian disarmament conference.
