Resident Evil: Apocalypse is a 2004 action horror film, released in the United States on 10 September 2004 and Japan on 11 September 2004. The film stars Milla Jovovich, Sienna Guillory, Oded Fehr and Mike Epps, and set in Raccoon City, introduced in the original film, which has fallen to a T-virus outbreak. The film drew inspiration from Resident Evil 3: Nemesis and Resident Evil CODE:Veronica, among the most recent games when the script was written in 2003. Writing was handled by Paul W.S. Anderson as was the previous film, though directing duties fell to Alexander Witt due to Anderson's involvement in Alien vs. Predator.
