The BIO_OFFICIAL Twitter account announced that a teaser video would be released on September 10 (JST).

The video, simply titled Project Resistance Teaser was released on the promised date and it showed off gameplay as well as what the game was about.

During the 2019 Tokyo Game Show, the Project Resistance Gameplay Overview video was released, as well as the announcement of the Project Resistance closed beta which would take place between 4–7 October.[3] Masachika Kawata was the producer present at the Capcom presentation during the show and the one who gave information such as how NeoBards was working on this project and the registration period of the closed beta.

On September 27, 2019, the Project Resistance Gameplay - Full Match video was posted on the English Resident Evil YouTube channel, this video was used in a Resident Evil Ambassador e-mail at the time. Three days later, PS4 players obtained their closed beta codes via e-mail. It was also announced that a demo of the game would be playable at the NYCC 2019.[4]

Between October 4–7, the closed beta was playable, Capcom also set up an online survey about the closed beta.[5]
