Below is a list of translation errors made during the localization of Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles, and changes to the plot.
Script and file
- Letter from Sergei to Nicholai - Nicholai is referred to as "Silver Wolf" in the original. In the localization, it is instead "Silver Fox".
- Memo on the Founding of Umbrella - in the English translation, Edward Ashford and James Marcus are said to have died in the same year. In the original version of the file, Spencer refers to them as simply having passed on before the writing of the memo.
- Umbrella Raccoon City Judgement - the localization adds in that Umbrella provided fake witnesses in the trial, whereas the original script only mentions them hiring among the best of lawyers.
- Carlos Oliveira Profile - Carlos being a Communist guerilla is condensed to him simply being a guerilla.
