Guests[]
GameSpot invited the game leads to the launch party, including producers Jun Takeuchi and Masachika Kawata, director Yasuhiro Anpo, composer Kouta Suzuki and other developers, as well as the motion capture actors Karen Dyer, Reuben Langdon and TJ Storm. Along with games reporters, Capcom-Unity staff were also in attendance to cover their site blog.[1]

Attendees had different colour wristbands which determined their access to the event. All attendees were required to have made a pre-order at the GameStop on Powell Street and provide proof-of-purchase, allowing them to receive their copy inside.[2]
Main event[]
The tent was decorated with graffiti from the game to take the appearance attendees were entering Kijuju itself; to maintain this appearance bouncers were donned in military gear to portray BSAA operators at a checkpoint. While inside, guests could play Resident Evil 5 on a number of PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles set-up around the tent. If no machine was available, they could also enter their names into GameStop's raffle, or enter a sound-proof booth to give their loudest scream as another competition. Food was provided in plastic tubes marked "Antidote" to continue the theme.
At 21:00 the developers were brought on stage, and were available to sign merchandise.
