Resident Evil Chronicles HD Collection

Resident Evil: Chronicles Selection is a game pack and port for the on-rail shooters 2007's Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles and 2009's Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles, for PlayStation 3 and will be released in early 2012. Like Resident Evil: Revival Selection, the game will be released via DLC in Europe and North America and via Blu-Ray disc in Japan, similar with the same 2011 Chronicles compilation game for the Wii.

The game will be compatible with PSMove control, features true HD graphics and PS3 trophies.

It is currently unknown if the game will include multi-language support similar to Resident Evil: Revival Selection, but it is likely to feature support for Spanish, English, Portuguese, French, Italian and Deutsch.

Gameplay

The game includes both games, currently exclusive for Wii, in a single format.

Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles chapters resembles Resident Evil Zero ("Train Derailment" and "Beginnins"), Resident Evil ("The Mansion Incident", "Nightmare" and "Rebirth"), Resident Evil 3: Nemesis ("Raccoon's Destruction", "Death's Door" and RE2's "Fourth Survivor") and the new chapter in the caucasus in 2003 ("End of Umbrella" and "Dark Legacy").

Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles chapters resembles Resident Evil 2 ("Memories of a Lost City"), Resident Evil Code: Veronica ("Game of Oblivion") and the new chapter in South America in 2002 ("Operation Javier" and "Darkness Falls").

It is unknown if the game features new content like chapters, weapons and others.

Playable characters include Chris Redfield, Jill Valentine, Billy Coen, Rebecca Chambers, Ada Wong, HUNK, Leon S. Kennedy, Claire Redfield, Steve Burnside, Jack Krauser and Albert Wesker.

Trivia

• This is the first game (or port) in which Billy Coen and Resident Evil Zero related material (areas, BOW, etc) appears in a Sony console.
• It is currently unknown if the game will be released for Xbox 360, due to difficulties in adapting the Kinect on a rail shooter game. Currently, no shooter games are released with Kinect compatibility.
• This is the Resident Evil video game in freatures most playable characters, with a total of 12. The only classic character who does not appear in either game is Barry Burton.
