Revision as of 20:39, 24 January 2019
Resident Evil Code: Veronica is a novelization of the video game Resident Evil CODE:Veronica, published in 2001 by S.D. Perry. It is the sixth Resident Evil novel written by Perry, but is the seventh in chronological order. With the exception of Zero Hour, this is the last book in the series. It was re-released in December 2012. The story is the same as in Resident Evil Code: Veronica except for a few minor continuity errors, mostly caused by the author's decision to base the novel off of the original rather than the updated X version.

Plot
Prologue
Claire Redfield is captured by Umbrella security operative Rodrigo Juan Raval while infiltrating Umbrella's headquarters in Paris, and is sent to Rockfort Island to be used as a test subject in their bioweapons projects. Ten days after, Rodrigo and his unit are transported to Rockfort to take part in training. Their arrival is quickly followed by an attack from an unknown organization who launch air strikes on their base. The attack causes bioweapons carrying the T-virus to escape and spread to the soldiers. Most of the island's soldiers have been killed or transformed into Zombies in the opening hour, and Raval runs past the wreckage and over to an isolation cell separate from the concentration camp's cabins. Rodrigo desperately wants to free Claire from the cell he can die knowing he gave her a chance to live.
