Pre-release marketing[]
The first public appearance of Resident Evil Survivor was on 23 October when it appeared at the Megalopolis 1999 trade show. A playable build was present at the Capcom booth along with JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Heritage for the Future for Dreamcast.[1]

Resident Evil Gun Survivor Japan Commercial
Exclusive to Japan were two separate live-action adverts. The first was set within the game's storyline, with Sheena Island civilians being warned of a biohazard situation by the local USS force. The tagline was "You can't survive without the courage to fight." (戦う勇気がなければ生き残れない。,tatakau yūki ga nakereba ikinokorenai?). A second trailer was from the POV of a light-gun player experiencing the game.
