S1E6 - Albert and Angel

Wesker in Angel's interrogation room

Al Wesker arrives at Umbrella HQ for work, where he meets Evelyn Marcus. Lying that he got no information from Ange Rubio, Al suggests mixing Joy and scopolamine to make him suggestive and reveal his secrets. Renewing the interrogation, Al warns him his methods are designed to be painless but the next man along will be more severe. Angel is offered an out - on a paper he is asked if anyone else knows about Billie and Jade, while Al verbally asks if he had a source for the animal attack story; Angel replies "no" and is injected with a drug that causes him to go into cardiac arrest and die. Evelyn cancels the interrogation while medical personnel see to Angel, and she accuses Al of being Angel's mole and has him imprisoned.

The attempts to save Angel's life have failed and he is now in the morgue being examined for any cause of death. The coroner's incision in his chest causes Angel's body to begin convulsing despite prior indications he is dead.

In the last scene of the episode, Al notices someone else is in the next cell and through a hole in the wall, finds an exact double of himself with a beard.

S1E6 - Jade and Adult Billie

Jade and Billie reunited

Jade is locked up in one of Umbrella's bases, and is interrogated by Billie, who is working for Evelyn on her world domination goal. The two have not seen one another since around 2026 when Jade was pregnant, and Al has since died. Based on Umbrella's information thus far, Jade has achieved nothing of value in the past ten years, and has migrated around the world from Tokyo to Greenland doing nothing. While Jade is aware that Umbrella is a threat to The University, Billie's search for Jade is more of a personal stake - although she is highly-resistant to the T-Virus she is not immune, and ultimately she will deteriorate. Billie gives her the position of a University search team and slices an Umbrella tracking chip from her arm so she can escape freely. Jade collects the severed head of Mother Zero and runs out.

Out in the open, Jade heads towards the coast where she finds a boat. She is ambushed by the search team, consisting of Amrita and Gideon who take her to their ship, carrying Arjun and Bea. While getting cosy in their room, Arjun fills her in on the major events of the past month - they had a good harvest, there is a baby boom and Terrence's University group has recovered half a library's worth of books from Istanbul. Jade is happy to learn of Bea's continuing studies, and compares her parenting style against Al's, insisting her Zero expeditions are only for Bea's merit and not her own, but this leads to an argument when Arjun hears she deliberately risked herself in the Brotherhood's bunker to get the Zero head, and accuses her of using Bea as a tool to justify reckless behavior.

Elsewhere on the ship, Arjun preparing for dinner with Bea in the cafeteria, talking about her studies with Ms. Kyoko. Jade watches Arjun and Bea talking from a distance, as he tries to explain that Jade loves her, but her life is devoted to saving the world out of a sense of guilt. Jade catches up after the conversation and they get ready for dinner. In the evening, Jade is lying in bed and tells Arjun about meeting Billie and learning of Al's death.

S1E6 - Researching T-Virus

Amrita Singh researching T-Virus

Following the coastline, the ship passes derelict craft, who's Zero occupants are submerged but still alive, twitching as the ship passes overhead. Jade waits in the lab for the Mother Zero autopsy, with Amrita taking part, who Jade correctly deduces is two months pregnant. The autopsy determines Mother Zero's body is producing two enzymes which degrade upon exposure to Oxygen. Over the night they go through 55 different tests to preserve the enzymes with artificial saliva, with Jade stabilizing Test 56 by spitting in the sample. Jade leaves Amirta alone to attend a performance by the ship's children, led by Ms. Kyoko. Bea performs Beethoven's No. 5 Symphony on the piano as her performance. When she gets a pager call from Amrita, Jade returns to the lab for further research. They introduce T-virus to the enzymes, determining that one has an attractive property and the other a repelling property, meaning that in theory the enzymes could be used to both ward Zeroes away and to order them to attack a target.

RETVJadeZero

Jade and an Zero test subject

With everyone gone, Jade puts the theory to the test and rides out in a boat to the coast to retrieve a Zero woman to study. The Zero is almost frozen from exposure and can barely move, but still represents a threat. Jade is almost caught by Serene, but bluffs her way through the ship, chaining her up in a room. Bea walks in with a mug, with Jade keeping her at the door. Jade cuts her finger to begin the test, expecting to trigger the Zero's sense of smell. Jade's enzyme treatment works in keeping her protected, but the Zero instead turns her attention to Bea, ripping her cuffs and chasing her down a corridor. Bea inadvertently lures the Zero to other people, and she lunges at Amrita, tearing out her jugular before being gunned down. Jade takes responsibility for the attack, and is almost killed by Amrita's partner Paolo.
