"Weapon that launches a high-explosive rocket propelled grenade. Designed to be disposed after a single use."

The Rocket Launcher is a weapon that can be found in Resident Evil 5.

The Rocket Launcher is very powerful weapon, strong enough to automatically kill most bosses. It specifically deals 30,000 Damage per-shot.

Some bosses will have special death animations if shot by a rocket (i.e. A short cutscene will play when a rocket is used against Uroboros Aheri showing the rocket hitting and instantly killing it). The Rocket Launcher is also highly effective against regular enemies, since its large explosion can take out an entire group at once if aimed properly.

Some level of caution should be used when preparing to shoot - it takes a while to draw the weapon, and the explosion can hit the player to dying state if too close. Once the weapon is used, it disappears from the player inventory.

The Rocket Launcher first appears in a weapon case in Chapter 3-1 on a sunken ship. After completing the chapter, you can purchase one at any time during shop menu for ₦10,000.

Infinite Rocket Launcher[]

Unlike all the other weapons infinite ammo, Infinite Rocket Launcher ammo is awarded upon completing the main game in under 5 hours. You will be able to unlock it once you complete all chapters on the same difficulty and the total time has to be less than 5 hours, the quickest time is override saved each time you play that certain chapter.

It is preferred to do another Amateur run and finish all chapters in the shortest time possible.

Further Notes[]

  • Rocket Launchers are also used by Kirk's helicopter unnamed BSAA operators to provided air support to Chris and Sheva, also some Base Majinsi used to attack players in late chapters.
  • Another type of rocket launcher, the RPG-7 NVS, appears in the game as well.
