"You look just like...me."
— Rose

The Rose Copies (コピーローズ kopī rōzu) were a series of failed attempts to duplicate Rosemary Winters. They were the brainchildren of the Black God or, more specifically, an independent consciousness housed within the superorganism based on Mother Miranda.[1]

They were created as an attempt of creating vessels for Miranda's deceased daughter Eva, but the results are less than Miranda's ideal, as they exist in an husk-like state. Besides appearance, they bear very little resemblance to the actual Rosemary Winters as they do not have the same power as her. When Miranda discovered that they exhibit some semblance to Rose's abilities under the circumstances of extreme terror, they were sent to the first stratum in the form of the distorted version of Castle Dimitrescu. Miranda's first creation, The Masked Duke, acts as the torturer.

On the first stratum, the Rose Copies are put through a series of trials and hunted down by Face Eaters. They have a common goal of retrieving the Purifying Crystal, which is locked away behind a mechanism. Most of them don't make it far as they're immediately captured and violently killed, with their bodies scattered around the halls of the castle. The corpses of those who collected at least one mask are decorated in a gruesome manner in the distorted Hall of Ablution and Gallery of Despair as trophies.

On the core stratum, the Rose Copies are heavily mutilated and returned as Face Eaters in an attempt to incapacitate the real Rose on her journey of retrieving the crystal. Rose also discovers the Black God (or rather the Realm's representation of it) giving birth to the copies, with a copy placed in an embryonic cocoon before sinking deep into the pool of mold below, preparing to be tested all over once more.

The copies are noted to be mostly devoid of emotions and have a limited capacity of speech patterns.

It is unclear if the Rose Copies continue to exist even after Mother Miranda's consciousness was erased, but it is assumed that the Rose Copies are erased altogether.
