Russo was a member of the S.T.A.R.S. Bravo Team under the command of Jill Valentine. He served as the team's driver.
Biography[]
As a member of S.T.A.R.S., Russo's team was trained for six months in countering a hypothetical biohazard at the Arkley Mansion, though was kept in the dark. When the facility finally was overrun, he received the call and drove DiSimone and Williams to Jill's apartment, before setting off into the forest. Shortly after arriving at the mansion, they were encirlced and attacked by "unidentified assailtants". The four ran to a trench, but were taken away one after the other, with Russo being the third casualty to the creatures with "snarling jaws".[1]
When S.T.A.R.S. Alpha Team arrived to reinforce their comrades, they found only a pile of body parts discarded randomly on the ground.[2]

Due to the decision to completely restart the writing process, George A. Romero's writing contributions failed to appear in the finished script, and so Russo has no canonical equivalent in the Anderson universe.
