History
Quint Cetcham designed this weapon using an M9 frame and adjusting the original Samurai Edge for Barry design by Joseph Kendo.[1] It was gifted to Barry on his birthday.
In 2011, Barry brought this weapon with him when he ventured to Sejm Island to find Claire Redfield and his daughter Moira.[2]
In media
The weapon is used as a usable handgun in Resident Evil: Revelations 2 as the "Samurai Edge".
Tokyo Marui produced an airsoft replica called the "Samurai Edge (Barry Burton model Ver. II)".
The weapon has its own glossary entry on Resident Evil Recollections titled "Samurai Edge Barry Burton Model Version II".
