Security Cameras is an environmental component in Resident Evil: Resistance.

Gameplay

Security Cameras allow the Mastermind to view the gaming environment and from which to use cards from their Deck and E.I.S.. They have a limited range of where they can look.

Security Cameras are considered to be in one of four states;

  • Inactive - Mastermind is not currently using it. Destroying does not affect the Timer. The light on it will be green.
  • Active - Mastermind is currently using it. Destroying will add 15 seconds to the Timer. The light will be red.
  • Disabled - It has been damaged or is affect by January's Personal Skill. If the Mastermind tries to use it, no action can be preformed other than a command to speed the timer to make it operational again. No light will be on the camera.
  • Auto-Firearm active - An Auto-Firearm card has been used on it and it will fire at any Survivor it hones it on. Destroying it will add 15 seconds to the timer. The light on it will be blue.

Equipment that affects Security Cameras are;

  • EMP Rounds I & II: Increases damage to cameras.
  • Fuse I, II, & III: Increases camera durability.
  • Shock Absorbers I, II, & III: Improves camera control while under attack.
  • Reinforced Bearing: Moderately increases camera rotation speed.
  • Cooling Fan I, II, III: Decreases the time it takes for a disabled camera to auto-recover.
  • Gyroscope: Moderately decreases camera shake when attacked, and moderately increases damage dealt by firearms.
  • Thermal Grease I, II, III: Decreases the time it takes to manually recover a disabled camera.
  • Water Cooled Radiator: Moderately increases camera durability, and greatly decreases recovery time.
