Roberts was born in Stratford, Ontario on April 2, 1984.[1][2][3] He started with playing a wolf in a school play of "Little Red Riding Hood" and his friend's father helped him get a role in Emily of New Moon.[4] He is also known for playing the rapist Dean Walton in the Canadian television drama Degrassi: The Next Generation. He has also appeared in George A. Romero's Diary of the Dead and Land of the Dead. In 2010, he appeared in Resident Evil: Afterlife, where he played villain Albert Wesker.[5] Roberts originally auditioned for the role of Chris Redfield, however the role is instead given to Wentworth Miller as the producers cast him in as Albert Wesker.[6]
