Resident Evil 2 (1998)

Sherry is playable briefly in Resident Evil 2 only in Claire's scenario in up to two segments: the first time is when she must resolve same puzzle with Ada Wong in order to get the Club Key (and optionally, more ammunition for Claire) and the second is only possible during A Scenario, when she is separated from Claire in the sewers and have to guide her to the dumpster with the Wolf Medal in there. She starts her inventory with only a First Aid Spray and her family photo as a special item slot. When played, different from Ada, Sherry is unable to defend herself and has to run away from enemies, however, if the enemies are Zombies, they will not be able to grab Sherry and instead spill their Acid upon her.

Already as Claire's partner, Sherry is entirely dependent on her for protection, that is, if she is killed while with Claire, it's game over.

Resident Evil 6

Sherry returns as a playable character in Resident Evil 6 in the Jake Muller's segment where she acts as her scenario's partner facing groups of J'avo, along with multiples other C-Virus mutants and giant B.O.W.s.. Now, she significantly more capable of defend herself because due her trainig as agent from the U.S. government, Sherry learned combat techniques as well as how to handle a firearm. Many of Sherry's melee techniques and her unique contextual attacks incorporate the usage of powerful kicks, which differs heavily from most of the other characters, being her attacks combine a large amount of flexibility and agility to make their most efficient offensive. Her Quick Shots also are among the fastest and versatile in the game.

Her primary weapons also are unique compared to the other characters. The first is the handgun Triple Shot, which sports the ability to change between single-shot or a three-round burst , besides her laser sight is actually on the slide of the gun. The other is the Stun Rod, that cause more damage according to the time it is charged, being ideal for dealing with J'avo or Chrysalids before they hatch into Complete Mutants. Besides that, when is equipped and charged, allows Sherry's evasions to damage any nearby enemy.

Resident Evil 2 (2019)

Unlike original game, in the Resident Evil 2 remake version, Sherry is only controllable when she tries to escape Brian Irons captive in the Raccoon City Orphanage. She has to solve the puzzle in her bedroom in order to escape and after has to go to Irons' office to retrieve the key of the entrance in Orphanage. She then is got caught by Irons and he retrieve the key back. After that, Sherry has to run and hide from Irons to wait for opportunity to get the key back. Once the key is retrieved, Sherry will has to run back the office where the segment ends. In this regard, Sherry's Game Over screen doesn't depict her death. If she is caught by Irons during his search for her in the orphanage, the Chief of Police will just put her back to the bedroom and the game will then show the message "You are trapped" instead of "You have died".

Sherry also returns as Claire's partner character, but only in three occasions: the first time after first fight with G1, where she will follow the player up to being captured by Irons; the second time after Claire find her in the orphanage basement, in which they're chased by the Tyrant, and last time is when she got cured from G-Virus and escape with Claire to the train. On all times, unlike original game, Sherry is invincible and cannot be harmed by the enemies.

Also different from the original Resident Evil 2, Sherry has two alternate costumes, but its is only available in Claire's segment:
