The 2014 Sonido de Tortuga Island Incident (tentative) was a series of massacres committed on Sonido de Tortuga, an island in the Caribbean. The massacres were initially committed by residents and foreign workers who had contracted Cannibal Disease, and led to operations by both the Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance and Shén Yà Pharmaceutical to contain the situation.
Background[]
An Umbrella laboratory was constructed on Sonido de Tortuga in the 1990s with Dr. Alex Wesker as its chief researcher, tasked with the creation of an immortality virus to keep Umbrella's CEO, Dr. Oswell E. Spencer, alive. Dr. Wesker abandoned the island several years later to conduct t-Phobos Virus research on Sein Island. At some point after Dr. Spencer's death, a group of Dr. Wesker's loyal followers led by Dr. Dirk Miller returned, and conducted the Kodoku Plan, whereupon a number of island natives were kidnapped over the years and experimented upon, with the resulting mutants forced to fight. Each victor had the virus extracted from them in the expectations the slight mutations in the RNA virus between each individual would create one with superior abilities. The scientists also began killing one another, until only Dr. Miller remained as the sole possessor of the final B.O.W. and, ultimately, the virus within.

The events unfold when one of the model named Coco had gone lost and killed by a huge figure with an harpoon during the production of an reality show named Idol Survival with the attack transforms the model into an zombified figure. The next day, the production sets to begin with the arrival of camera crew and its director Matthew Espino as well as his assistant Takeru Tominaga. Coco's disappearance is eventually noticed by another competitor Zǐlì with the crew consist of Espino, Tominaga, competitors Yuki Mayu and Laura Bierce, show's survivalist Brown Anderson seek to find her along the way during an location scouting in Ague, one of the native villages in the island Sonido de Tortuga where they encounter an native Marilou Mabou and Terrasave member Inéz Diaco who was investigating the island for info about mutated fish which appears on the mainland captured by fisherman with the creature investigated by Claire Redfield back at the mainland.
During the expedition, Marilou notices the filming site and berates the crew for filming in their village without permission which enters her into an conflict with the show's producer Mike D. Seaman with the presence of Terrasave worries him about the potential biohazard incident on the island. Shortly after, Tominaga spots the zombified corpse of Coco deep into the forest but before he can alert to anyone, she is taken deep further by the harpoon figure. Back at the Emerald Beach, the masked figure infiltrated the ships and destroys the engine room with Seaman and Zili finding the aftermath scene later with oil spraying at every corner. The incident is later kept secret between the 2 as to avoid any problems with the shooting.
On the day of the shooting, all of the idols participates in a game deep involve in the forest which involves in collecting a series of cards scattered across the area with the person finding last is eliminated. The game takes an drastic turn when one of the competitor named Kylie is impaled on the chest by the harpoon figure with the pair Tominaga and Mayu soon finds themselves to be surrounded by their fellow zombified competitors. Finding themselves at the cliff, the pair jumps off and finds themselves in a pool of water in some wetlands with the creature still hot in their pursuit, Mayu hides herself in the tree and Tominaga diverts its attention away and tricks it to fall off the cliff. With the last of his strength, he meets back with Mayu. After their short rest, the pair encounters the now zombified Kylie
Elsewhere on the island, Inez and Marilou wanders the island and discovers a bound, four-armed, masked being with various tubes in one of the ruined stone building. The two are eventually ambushed and held captive by 3 armed villagers with the shaman explaining that the figure is Marilou's husband López. During the shooting, Seaman and Zili sneaks off to the building and takes out the guards that were stationed around the area and finds the creature along with the captured women. Seaman reveals to them that due to the U.S. government's cover-up of the Raccoon City Destruction Incident and its continued involvement in Bio Organic Weapons research, he plans to release the B.O.W. in the temple and let it run rampant with the deaths it will cause will receive worldwide media coverage, admitting to bringing the entire crew to the island in order to make it happen as to advertise bioweaponry for foreign despots and terrorists. Seaman unleashes the weapon just in time for the shaman to intervene with the latter revealed that the creature awakes due to listening the keyword "wife". Realized that he had walked into an trap, Seaman attempts to halt the program and forces it back to sleep but fails as the creature splits him in half with the propeller attached onto its body. During the scuffle, Zili escapes from the scene with Inez freeing herself and Marilou and activates SOS signal on phone which reveals her location to the other member of Terrasave but the phone is shortly destroyed by the creature's attack.
