The Special Cases and Disposal Team was an anti-B.O.W. unit which operated in the United States during the War on Terror. It was the result of a joint agreement between the Umbrella Corporation and the Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance.
History[]
Umbrella USA was federalised following the Raccoon City Destruction Incident, but in 2007 political pressure led to the Graham Administration re-establishing the company as a military contractor. This move was controversial internationally, and the United Nations prohibited the reformation of the Umbrella Security Service. In response, the Special Cases and Disposal Team was established as a loophole, with teams consisting entirely of BSAA operators taking part in missions under the joint authority of Umbrella and the BSAA. As part of this deal, Umbrella would obtain combat data and use it to develop and test new anti-B.O.W. weaponry.
During the 2017 Baker House Incident, the Special Cases and Disposal Team was deployed to establish a quarantine zone and apprehend or kill Eveline and Lucas Baker. The mission, led on the ground by BSAA Captain Chris Redfield, took heavy casualties in the first three weeks as they suffered unexpected attacks from mutant organisms.
