The stun gun is a small taser found in the remake of Resident Evil. A defensive weapon available only to Jill Valentine, the stun gun can only be used while the player is grappling with an enemy. It delivers a powerful electrical shock to the enemy's body, the electricity flowing through their muscles causing them to involuntarily let go of the player. Each use will drain one small battery, which the player may collect (these do not take up inventory space).
The stun gun also appears in Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles as Jill Valentine's quick time attack, which has unlimited uses. It is able to kill any zombie in one attack.
