TMP is a weapon in Resident Evil 4.
Location[]
In the Resident Evil 4 Chainsaw Demo, the player must not have any items in their Attache Case before going through the gates into the village. Afterwards, reaching the Village Square, the player can then proceed to one of two previously blocked well entrances which leads to a chest containing the weapon.
Once the TMP has been collected at least once, the player will automatically start with it on subsequent playthroughs of the demo.
In the Main game the TMP must be purchased from the Merchant and is available from Chapter 3 onwards for the cost of 10,000 Pesetas. In the Separate Ways DLC, this is Ada's one of the starting weapons for after starting, along with the Blacktail AC for searching and fetching the Amber. As such, it is unmissable.
Gameplay[]
As stated, the TMP is a fully automatic, high rate of fire submachine gun. It is useful for applying heavy suppressive fire to crowds of enemies or significantly damaging a single target in a short space of time. TMP is especially powerful against tough, powerful enemies such as Brutes, and Mandíbulas.
The weapon boasts a high rate of fire and relatively quick reload speed. While TMP suffers from having significant recoil and poor accuracy due to firing from hips, this can be largely alleviated by using its stock, which will instead make the user fire the weapon from their shoulder.
The TMP is a fully automatic machine pistol that uses Submachine Gun Ammo, it boasts a high rate of fire with a low damage per shot and significant recoil. The TMP takes up six inventory spaces.
This can be mitigated somewhat by purchasing the TMP Stock available from the Merchant for the cost of 8x spinels, attaching the stock significantly reduces the recoil caused by firing the weapon, allowing for more accurate sustained fire.
In order to balance this, the TMP has a relatively low damage per shot and somewhat poor accuracy due to its high rate of fire.
The TMP's exclusive per multiplies the damage output of the weapon 1.5x the standard amount.
In the Separate Ways DLC, TMP's Rate of Fire is 2.7 rather than main story 2.5.
Compared to LE5, TMP is better at quickly dispatching tough, single enemy thanks to its higher overall Power, slightly larger magazine size and higher rate of fire.
The TMP is one of Krauser's and Ada (Dress)'s starting weapons in The Mercenaries mode.
