Not an Outbreak[]

This was not an outbreak since the Illuminados convinced the villagers to get infected with Las Plagas. Your commanding officer 01:45, April 16, 2012 (UTC)

So, it should be renamed and filled. We should at least mention this. Fanina 01:48, April 16, 2012 (UTC)
No, because it's not really a outbreak. Gotta love re4! 01:50, April 16, 2012 (UTC)Haalyle
"Outbreak" just refers to a "sudden increase" in the number of people being host to the parasite. There's no ruling to what does and does not constitute a biological outbreak-- Forerunner 02:03, April 16, 2012 (UTC)
Well, an empty page with no mention of Spain. But at least, renamed. Fanina 02:07, April 16, 2012 (UTC)
What is the whole point of this? It's not an outbreak, then what is it? Gotta love re4! 02:10, April 16, 2012 (UTC)
When did we say it's not an outbreak, and it's not Spain.-- Forerunner 02:17, April 16, 2012 (UTC)
It's the title. Haalyle 02:22, April 16, 2012 (UTC)
I do agree that this is NOT truly an outbreak Master Plaga 12:02, June 24, 2012 (UTC)

According to Project Umbrella, RE4 takes place in Spain as seen in here , here , more over here and here . Besides, if you had some good eye, or at least, you can see that in the begining of SEPARATE WAYS, Mr Wesker zooms in what seems to be the Iberic coast, aka Spain... or España and you can see it here in 1:00.. e.e 2004 incident perpahs?? IDK.... but there you are. RE4 takes place in spain, i rest on my case. Frienship is Magic 14:35, June 24, 2012 (UTC)

Good enough, I was going by what some Capcom employees were saying about locations not always being intended to represent real places - Raccoon City, for instance. The other one was that they chose Spanish because it showed that you weren't in the US, anymore, and that the location was just somewhere in southern Europe. Master Plaga seems to have got "outbreak" confused, thinking that it can only ever refer to viruses. You can have outbreaks of typhus, which is caused by a bacteria. "Outbreak" refers moreso to the sudden increase in the number of people infected with a disease, however. We can always go for something else, I guess - "Los Illuminados conspiracy", perhaps? -- Forerunner 15:07, June 24, 2012 (UTC)

Forerunner, I know what an outbreak is; I know things other than viruses causes outbreaks (ex. parasites, bacteria, fungi and prions). I am just saying calling it an outbreak would over simplify it. Master Plaga 01:52, July 19, 2012 (UTC)

I can see what you mean - "outbreak" on its own would be thought of by the reader as an uncontrollable epidemic from a virus, whereas this infestation was brought upon by people willingly making themselves hosts.-- Forerunner 02:04, July 19, 2012 (UTC)
